As a large number of people are expected to come to take a dip in the ‘sarovar’ of the historic gurdwara here during the Maghi Mela, the district administration has called in a team of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) to avoid any untoward incident.
Muktsar Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Dr Richa on Sunday held a meeting with officials and informed that all arrangements had been made. Besides, some duty magistrates too have been deployed.
Some medical teams have been formed, and ambulances and fire-fighting machines have been stationed at busy places.
