Nat’l Road Safety Week observed

Ludhiana: Students of MGM Public School observed 30th National Road Safety Week from February 4 to 10. The theme for the road safety week was “Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha”.

Ludhiana: Students of MGM Public School observed 30th National Road Safety Week from February 4 to 10. The theme for the road safety week was “Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Raksha”. Events were held to sensitise the students regarding the importance of road safety who in turn could play a pivotal role in creating awareness in society.

SVEEP session organised

Systematic Voter’s Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) session was held at at Guru Nanak International Public School, Model Town, to highlight the importance of exercising franchise. Students participated in various activities, including group song, nukkad natak and poster making. Principal Gurmant Kaur Gill asked the students to create an awareness regarding voting among the elders.

Spell Bee contest held

Green Land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, Ludhiana, organised an intra -class “Spell Bee” for students of KG to Class V. The main objective of the event was to improve spellings, pronunciation and vocabulary of the students. Tiny tots participated with great enthusiasm. Principal Dr Jyoti Sachdev Pujara admired competitive spirit of the students. She said such competitions serve two purposes, as it gives a platform to kids to showcase improved skills and act as an instrument to hone command over the language. The winners were felicitated with merit certificates.

Athletics meet concludes

BCM Kindergarten, Chandigarh Road, organised 7th annual athletics meet for LKG students. More than 400 students participated in different games. The winners and participants were honoured with medals. Principal DP Guleria appreciated efforts of the students and their teachers.

World Radio Day celebrated

Green Land Convent School, Civil City, organised an inter-class radio jockey competition for students of Class VI to VIII today to celebrate the “World Radio Day” . Students displayed a good sense of humour on the occasion. It was a rich learning experience for students as they worked as a team to present shows, including chat with listeners, guest interviews and jingle news, among others. Principal congratulated the winners and encouraged the students to enhance their communication skills. TNS
