Suspects identified, claims Ambala SP

AMBALA: The police have claimed to establish the identities of three accused involved in the murder of EASI Suresh Kumar, who was shot dead in Naraingarh on Sunday.

The police have claimed to establish the identities of three accused involved in the murder of EASI Suresh Kumar, who was shot dead in Naraingarh on Sunday.

Ambala Superintendent of Police Mohit Handa said, “Identities of three accused have been established and they will be arrested soon.”

He said the CIA, cyber cell and police were working on the case. Sources said the suspects belong to Ambala Cantonment.

Suresh Kumar was deployed on security of Rambir, an eyewitness to the murder of the JBT teacher Session Kumar Judge. The police had also announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for providing information about the accused.

Naraingarh CIA In-charge Kewal Singh said, “Raids are being conducted to nab the suspects. A local source has also been identified. He belongs to Naraingarh. He had helped a suspect, who had opened fire while escaping. We are confident that the suspects will be nabbed soon.”

A case was registered under Sections 302 and 34 of the IPC and 25 of the Arms Act at Naraingarh police station on the complaint of deceased’s brother Mamchand.
