Mystery shrouds the death of a man whose body was recovered on the Amrik Singh road after a spell of showers here on Tuesday morning.

According to a release issued by an NGO, Sahara, its volunteers reached the spot at 7 am and brought the deceased out of the inundated road.

He was taken to a local hospital, but he was declared brought dead. A team from the Kotwali police station also reached the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Dharmendra from Bihar. He was working with a private company and was on his way to open the firm’s office in the morning when the incident occurred. The body was sent to a government hospital for a post-mortem examination.

It is being suspected that Dharmendra may have died of heart attack. Assistant Sub-Inspector Jagjeet Singh from the Kotwali police station said they had called relatives of the deceased.
