The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Ambala, on Friday awarded Rs 2 lakh each as compensation under the Haryana Victim Compensation Scheme to the parents of a murder victim.

A case was registered against three persons on May 31, 2016 in connection with the death of Nitin. After trial, the accused were acquitted on December 19, 2018. Nitin’s parents Anju and Raj Kumar had moved an application under Section 357-A of the CrPC.
