Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks that India has not kept its “nuclear bombs for celebrating Diwali”, Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti today said even Pakistan has not kept its nuclear weapons for Eid.

Asked to comment on the PM’s remark, Mehbooba smiled and quipped, “Are Pakistan’s nuclear bombs for Eid then? It is tit for tat. It keeps on going like this.”

She also expressed concern over JKLF chief Yasin Malik’s deteriorating health in Tihar jail. “Sadhvi Pragya has been given bail on health grounds and is contesting poll and spewing venom. No one is doing anything about her, but Malik, whose health is deteriorating, is being kept in confinement,” she said. — OC
