NEW DELHI: A CPI (M) MP, MB Rajesh, has drawn Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attention towards nonfunctional light and sound show at Jallianwala Bagh due to lack of funds. Modi is the chairperson of the Jallianwala Bagh Memorial National Trust. Rajesh, son of an Army officer, was born in Jalandhar. In a letter to Modi, he urged him to ensure that sufficient funds are made available to the Trust to resume the light and sound and other necessary facilities. He narrated his bitter experience on visiting Jallianwala Bagh with his family to allow his two daughters to learn about the sacrifices of brave people. After showing them the site, he enquired about the light and sound show that used to be conducted there when he found the event missing. TNS
