Motorcyclist succumbs to injuries

A 25-year-old motorcyclist died in an accident with another motorcycle in Raipur Rani. 

Sunil Kumar, along with his younger brother Gulab Singh, was going on his motorcycle on Sunday when the incident occurred. 

They were going from their home in Kakraali village to Mauli village in Raipur Rani block of Panchkula around 7.30 pm. 

Near a liquor shop on the Chajju Majra road, they collided with a Splendor motorcycle bearing a Punjab number. 

Both Sunil Kumar and Gulab fell on the road. Whiile Gulab fell on an unpaved area, Sunil received injuries on the head. The other motorcyclist fled from the spot. 

With the help of passersby, Sunil was shifted to the Community Health Centre, Raipur Rani, from where he was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh, where he succumbed to his injuries on Monday night. 

A case under Sections 279 (rash driving) and 304 

A (causing death by negligence) of the IPC was registered against the unknown motorcycle rider at the Raipur Rani police station on Tuesday.
