Mohali, September 12
The Mohali administration has cautioned the Kisan union, Punjab, and Kashmiri Kaum Sangharsh Samarthan Samiti, to refrain from staging protest in the town, where Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has been imposed.
Mohali District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said the executives of both association/union have been sent the copy of ban orders on their mobile numbers. “We have also cautioned them to refrain from their activities as they have not taken permission for their rallies/protest,” he said.
“They have been told that they will be held responsible for any damage to public or private property and liable for recovery thereof, besides liability to legal action,” said Dayalan.
The ban order was issued yesterday and it will remain in effect till November 10.
