Mobile phones recovered from 3 jail inmates

PATIALA: The police have recovered three mobile phones and accessories from the possession of three jail inmates here. The accused have been identified as Kulwinder Singh of Tarn Taran, Sandeep Singh of Ropar and Darbar Singh of Fazilka.

The police have recovered three mobile phones and accessories from the possession of three jail inmates here. The accused have been identified as Kulwinder Singh of Tarn Taran, Sandeep Singh of Ropar and Darbar Singh of Fazilka.

Police said officials in the Central Jail received information about electronic devices being carried by jail inmates. The police said during checking they found a mobile phone and a battery in possession of inmate Kulwinder Singh, while other two inmates - Sandeep and Darbara - had a mobile phone, a battery and a SIM each in their possession.

The police have registered a case against the accused under Section 52-A of the Prison Act. — TNS
