Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur will preside over meetings with MLAs for fixing their priorities in the annual budget for 2019-20 on January 7 and 8 in the Secretariat.
The priority demands of the MLAs will be considered so that these can be incorporated into the budget. The meeting with MLAs of Solan, Sirmaur and Shimla districts will be held in the morning on January 7, while with MLAs of Mandi, Kullu and Bilaspur districts, it will be held in the afternoon.
The meeting with MLAs of Kangra and Kinnaur districts will be held in the morning session on January 8, followed by a meeting with MLAs of Chamba, Una, Hamirpur and Lahaul-Spiti districts in the afternoon, a spokesperson for the state government said here on Thursday.
The priorities of the MLAs regarding roads, bridges, small irrigation and drinking water supply schemes have been invited. Issues such as generating more resources, better administration and the steps for containing expenditure on various heads will also be discussed with the MLAs.
