MLA’s aides, who beat up cops, get bail

Una MLA Satpal Raizada’s aides, who were arrested on August 13 for beating up two policemen at Jankaur village, were granted bail today.

Raizada’s PSO Mohinder Singh, driver Vijay Kumar and main accused Arun Kumar, from whose car illicit liquor was recovered, were in judicial custody, while his PA Mukesh Kumar and another accused Nandan were in police custody.

The MLA’s aides had allegedly reached the spot in his personal car and attacked two policemen, who had intercepted the car. Nandan, along with some other men, reached the spot a few minutes later. They even tried to destroy some crates of liquor.
