MLA exhorts sarpanches for unbiased development

MLA Chabbewal, Dr Raj Kumar held a meeting with newly-elected sarpanches of all villages of the Mahilpur and Hoshiarpur Block II, of his constituency along with panchayat officials.

While congratulating the sarpanches, he had a detailed discussion with them for the development of their villages. Dr Raj listened to their problems and directed the concerned BDPOs and other officials concerned for initiate the required action.

Dr Raj advised all to accord the advantage of MGNREGA for petty construction and cleaning works of villages as it also gives employment to poor and the needy natives of villages.

He said the process of issuing and reinstating the cancelled blue cards will start soon and the panchayats should ensure that all needy persons get the benefit of the scheme.

Dr Raj said the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh has approved five crore for the Chabbewal constituency and for the betterment of each village of the constituency.

All present took an oath that they would work unbiasdly and to eradicate the drug menace from their villages at the grass roots level.
