Minor girl kidnapped in Dera Bassi, abandoned after hours

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by youths here on Friday. However, the suspects left her outside Axis Bank on the Gulabgarh road here after a few hours.

According to sources, the victim left the home to meet her mother. One of the youths offered her lift in a car on the pretext of dropping her. The suspects offered her sedative-laced juice following which she felt dozed off inside the car.

When she woke up, she found herself in Dera Bassi. The victim is not clear whether she was molested by the suspects or not as she does not remember exactly what happened with her.

She was taken to the Civil Hospital, Dera Bassi, where her medical examination was being conducted.

One of the senior doctors said the girl was changing her statements and not clearing the facts what exactly happened with her. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against unidentified persons.
