A 17-year-old girl has been reportedly missing since August 27.
The victim, a resident of Dera Bassi, has not been traced so far. Police sources said the victim’s father, in his statement, alleged that her daughter had been missing since August 27 and did not return home since then.
The complainant alleged that her daughter could have been abducted by youth, a resident of Ambala district.
He stated that the suspect might have lured his daughter on the pretext of marriage.
On the complaint of the victim’s father, the police have registered a case against the suspect under relevant sections of the IPC at the Mubarikpur police post.
