Gobind Singh Thakur, Forest, Transport and Youth Services & Sports Minister, visited the Sobha Singh Art Gallery and Museum at Andretta, 12 km from here, today.
The minister evinced keen interest in his paintings and artifacts.
He said the artist was a saint and philosopher who brought glory to the state and nation with his magic brush. He appreciated the family of the late artist for preserving the rich art treasure for the public and coming generations.
Ravinder Kumar Dhiman, MLA, Jaisinghpur, accompanied the minister. He also appreciated the family for preserving and propagating the art. Bibi Gurcharan Kaur, daughter of Sobha Singh, presented the famous art work “Her Grace the Gaddan” to the minister. Dr Hirday Paul Singh, her son, and Kamaljit Kaur, daughter-in-law, were also present on the occasion.
