CM hoists BJP flags on party worker’s house

Getting into the election mode, the ruling BJP today launched the “Mera parivar-BJP parivar” programme.

Under the programme, a senior leader, minister or MLA will put up the party BJP flag atop the house of a BJP worker. Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur put up the flag on the house of a party worker in Chhota Shimla, Civil Supplies Minister Kishan Kapoor in Kaithu and Health Minister Vipin Parmar in Jakhu. Most of the party legislators too took part in the programme.

State BJP president Satpal Singh Satti said the drive would be started in all parts of the state till March 5. “We will hoist the party flag on the house of a BJP worker or any other government scheme beneficiary who is willing to put the flag,” he said.

The BJP has got into the election mode with the launch of a number of schemes. Union minister Nitin Gadkari will visit Shahpur in Kangra on February 24 for the Panna Pramukh Sammelan of Kangra. The Panna Pramukh Sammelan for Mandi, Shimla and Hamirpur segments have been held.

Satti said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would interact with block-level party workers on February 28, while bike rallies will be organised across the country on March 2.
