Medical university second in webometric study

In a webometric study on 18 State Health Sciences Universities (SHUs) in the country, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) has ranked second on the basis of frequency of visitors on the websites of 18 SHUs.

The study was conducted in September 2018 and the investigators used Alexa Traffic Rank, Google Page Rank and Google search engine for rich files to investigate the websites of these health sciences universities.

The results showed that both Dr NTR University of Health Sciences and Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences in Andhra Pradesh got the first position, followed by BFUHS in Punjab.

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences got the third position, followed by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Karnataka, Kaloji Narayan Rao University of Health Sciences in Telengana, Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences in Haryana, Kerala University of Health Sciences, West Bengal University of Health Sciences and King George’s Medical University in UP. The ranking system audited and made public the frequency of visits on these websites. — TNS
