Man robbed of Rs 2L in Ambala

AMBALA: Some unidentified motorcycle-borne men allegedly looted around Rs 2 lakh from a youth after throwing chilli powder into his eyes in the Mahesh Nagar area late last night.

Some unidentified motorcycle-borne men allegedly looted around Rs 2 lakh from a youth after throwing chilli powder into his eyes in the Mahesh Nagar area late last night.

The victim has been identified as Ranjeet (27), a resident of Kalarehri village. He reportedly works for a property dealer in Ambala Cantonment.

According to information, the victim was on his way towards his village around 11:30 pm last night. When he reached near Boh village, around three men made him to stop, threw chilli powder into his eyes and also thrashed him. The miscreants fled away with the cash and other valuable items.

He was taken to the Civil Hospital, Ambala Cantonment, where he was given first aid. The Mahesh Nagar police have started investigations.
