The police booked a person for allegedly defrauding his NRI nephew here.

The accused identified as Gurdial Singh tried to grab house of his nephew Parminder Singh, who lives in UK. According to the police, Gurdial Singh prepared a fake registration of a house, which Parminder Singh’s another uncle had given him. The matter came to light around a couple of years ago when Parminder had come here and started process of getting the house registered in his name.

After an inquiry by the local police, a case under Sections 465, 467, 468, 471 of the IPC has been registered. — TNS
