Man arrested for fraud

A man from the Doda Basti area of Belicharana in Jammu has been arrested for allegedly duping people on the pretext of providing them jobs.
The fraudster has been identified as Nazakat Khatana, a resident of Jammu. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Crime Branch, said a team headed by Inspector Gurmeet Singh arrested the accused, who had been booked under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B of the Ranbir Penal Code.
He said Khatana took money from people on the pretext of providing jobs and plots to them at Belicharana.
“The accused is on police remand for 10 days,” the SSP added.
