Malik hoists flag at city railway station

BJP’s state president and MP Shwait Malik hosted 100 feet high national flag at the city railway station on Saturday.

He said the local railway station was all set to glide into the coveted list of world class stations. Both sides of the station will be embellished where a 27-storey mall and an office building will be constructed.

He said he brought Rs 500 crore to fund various projects.

The railway station has got at increase in the number of platforms, granite marble flooring, water purifiers, 50 additional fans, five lifts for senior citizens, new washing line and new electronic system to reduce traffic on the railway station.

The Central Government passed a budget for Rs 299 crore in 2017 for the Amritsar-Ferozepur rail link.
