LS polls: Sheila''s old colleagues visit party office, her residence

New Delhi, January 12

Old colleague of newly-appointed Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Sheila Dikshit started visiting her residence in Nizamuddin West and the party office to congratulate her returning at the helm of affairs and hoping that the party would revive in Delhi, where it had government for 15 consecutive years.

Former Delhi minister Mangat Ram Singhal and MCD leader Jitender Singh Jeetu visited the DPCC office for making sitting arrangement for three working presidents — Haroon Yusuf, Devendar Yadav and Rajesh Lilothia. Others including Dr AK Walia, Raj Kumar Chauhan, Arvinder Singh Lovely, Kiran Walia also visited her home, sources said.

The sources said that this activity gave an indication that the party in the coming Lok Sabha elections would work as a team to challenge the BJP and the AAP. — TNS
