LPU professor gets Ajaib Kamal Award

Punjabi poets and writers paid tributes to the Punjabi poet Ajaib Kamal at a ‘Kavi darbar’ held at Dandian village, near Mahilpur, in Hoshiarpur dist today.

The event was marked by the recitation of some of the poems and ghazals by some poets and some poems from Ajaib Kamal’s newly-published poetry book ‘Brehmand De Paar’.

During the occasion, a Punjabi literary scholar Dr Kirandeep Singh, Prof, Lovely Professional University (LPU) was awarded the ‘8th Ajaib Kamal Award’.

The audience were apprised of that Ajaib Kamal wrote 28 books of poetry, 15 plays inverse, 5 novels , 2 epics ‘Dhartinama and Surajnama’ and one literary criticism book ‘Paryogwaad te us ton aganh’ .

Resham Chitarkar, Sukhdev Nadalon, Harminder Sahil, Preet Neetpur, Satwinder Mander, principal Sarbjeet Singh,Mohan Ranjit,Satnam Singh, Paramjeet Katib and Jeewan Chandeli, participated in the ‘Kavi Darbar’.
