Railway passengers remained a harried lot as rail movement has taken a hit due to a sudden drop in the mercury, especially during early morning and late evening.
Railway officials stated that due to low visibility, speed of trains has been regulated to ensure safety of railway passengers. As a result, timetable of long route trains has been affected and rescheduled.
To make the matters worse, over one dozen long-haul trains have been running late.
