Legal quiz marks start of law fest

A three-day ‘Law Fest’ began at Kurukshetra University on Thursday.

The annual event is being organised by the department of law.

Prof Rajpal, director, institute of law, inaugurated the function, which was attended by faculty members and students. In his address, he laid stress on attaining higher academic and social awareness to be a better law professional.

Dr Monika Malik, convener of the function, said Justice Anupinder Singh and Justice Lalit Batra would chair a national moot court competition on Saturday.

She said an athletics meet and intra-department moot court would also be organised during the event, which would culminate on Monday.

At the inaugural function, client counseling and legal quiz were organised.

Prof Dalip Kumar, dean, faculty of law, who was the guest of honour, said law professionals played a vital role in national policies.
