Two bogeys on the back-nine pegged Anirban Lahiri back but the Indian golfer still finished tied-seventh at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship, the first of the three events in the Korn Ferry Series Finals.
He finished the final round on Sunday at 1-under 70, his fourth straight below-par round. Lahiri totalled 8-under. After reaching 10-under at one stage, Lahiri made bogeys on the 14th and 16th holes on the tough closing stretch.
Scottie Scheffler won the title after posting a final-round 4-under 67. He finished at 12-under, two strokes ahead of Brendon Todd, Beau Hossler and Ben Taylor.
Lahiri had four birdies and three bogeys in his round. “Overall, I played fine this week. However, I did not drive too well on Sunday. The key was that I missed opportunities on the par-5s,” Lahiri said. — PTI
