Khap resolves to fight drug addiction

Malik Khap representatives from different states unanimously resolved to constitute drug de-addiction society in villages, not to take dowry and use liquor during weddings and to motivate people for organising marriage ceremonies during the day.

Representatives of Malik Khap from Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Rajasthan reached Gohana to pay their respect to Dada Ghasi Ram Malik, founder of Malik Khap Panchayat and a renowned social reformer, on his 150th birth anniversary. A two-minute silence was observed to pay tributes to the CRPF martyrs on the occasion.

Khap Dada, Baljit Singh Malik said increasing incidents of rape were a blot on society and the accused should be boycotted socially. He also stressed on the need to strengthen goodwill among people.
