Job fair: 335 get employment

BATHINDA: As many as 670 candidates participated in the mega job fair on the third day here at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) on Sunday.

As many as 670 candidates participated in the mega job fair on the third day here at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University (MRSPTU) on Sunday. A total of 335 candidates (207 men and 128 women candidates) were selected for different job profiles at the fair.

ADC (D) Sakshi Sawhney said, “During different job fairs organised in the district as many as 1,664 candidates were given jobs. We have got a good response overall and expect that more candidates must benefit from the fair. We want to bring the candidates employed in unorganised sector to the organised sector where they apart from getting salary can also avail additional perks offered by firms.”

Sawhney said the next phase of the mega job fair would start at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo, from February 18 and conclude on February 19. Eligible/interested candidates are required to bring their resume and qualification certificates with them.
