Chandigarh, October 28

The All India Jat Mahasabha today condemned Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) for betraying the interests of the Jat community for its selfish interests.

Yudhvir Singh, general secretary of Jat Mahasabha, said the election negated the divisive politics of the BJP. “The slogan ‘35 versus 1’ (35 non-Jat castes versus Jat community) was issued against us, but we continued to campaign for the brotherhood during the elections,” he added.

He held a press conference today in Chandigarh.

“But after the elections, the JJP and Independents are going with the BJP against whom they had sought votes. The Jat community has been betrayed. We have been persecuted for the last five years, but the JJP and Independents have given importance to their self-interests. They haven’t put the condition of withdrawing cases against Jat youths and reservation while extending support,” said Yudhvir Singh.

“We are giving time to the JJP and Independents till February 2020. After that we will boycott them socially and go to their constituencies and protest against them.”
