JCB owner fined Rs 50,000 for mining

The mining authorities today conducted a raid on the Chakki riverbed. A JCB machine was challaned in Mouza Pail, Khanni gram panchayat, and Rs 50,000 was recovered as penalty from the JCB owner.

In Mazra, a stone crusher owner was challaned for illegal mining. The owner had to pay Rs 50,000 as penalty. Neeraj Kant, mining officer, Nurpur, said the department was keeping a close check on illegal mining.
