Himachal Pradesh Industries Minister Bikram Thakur today expressed hope that the upcoming investors’ meet at Dharamsala scheduled to be held on November 7 and 8 will be a roaring success. Thakur was addressing a public meeting today at Dadaseba in Jaswan Pragpur constituency after he distributed cheques for Rs 22 lakh as relief money among the poor and helpless families.
He said the meet will be the biggest-ever function organised by the Jai Ram government in which investors from across the country and abroad will participate. He said these investments would boost the economy of the state and help provide job opportunities to the unemployed youth. The minister said that in Jaswan Pragpur constituency different development projects worth Rs 150 crores were in progress. A bridge in Jaswan area will be constructed at the cost of Rs 52 crores.
He said Rs 1.10 crore would be spent on the Sansarpur – Barnali road whereas Rs 20 crores on the Rakkar – Shantala – Chaplah and Ara chowk to Jodbarh roads from the Central fund.
The industries minister said that funds to the tune of Rs 68 lakhs were sanctioned for a road in Kohhi village and Rs 51.81 lakhs were sanctioned for the Kotla – Baihad Ghati 4-km road stretch. He said Rs 21.44 crore had been sanctioned under ‘Jal Jeewan Machine’ project for Jaswan Pragpur constituency. Dehra SDM Dhanvir Thakur, BDO GC Pathak were among others present.
