India, China hold border meetings

NEW DELHI:A Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) between the troops of Indian Army and China’s People’s Liberation Army were held at two places along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

A Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) between the troops of Indian Army and China’s People’s Liberation Army were held at two places along the Line of Actual Control (LAC).

One meeting was conducted at Natu La (Pass) on the Indian side in Sikkim and another at Kibithu in Arunachal Pradesh. The meetings were held to resolve issues that were flagged by either side in view of un-demarcated LAC.

The meetings were conducted with an aim to promoting border peace. Both sides reviewed the security situation along the India-China border, an Indian Army spokesperson said from Guwahati. — TNS
