Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Sunday invited industrialists to invest in Haryana and said favourable environment would be provided to their business ventures to flourish. He said investing in the state would lead to job creation on a large scale.
The Chief Minister was speaking during the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit, 2019, at Gandhi Nagar in Gujarat. He said people from different regions got the opportunity to share their views at such events.
Khattar said Haryana covered 57 per cent area of the National Capital Region (NCR) and today, it was the best state to invest in. He said 13 districts of the state were covered in the NCR.
The CM said in 2016, memoranda of understanding (MoUs) amounting to Rs 5.84 lakh crore were signed for setting up various projects in the state. The work on MoUs worth about Rs 3 lakh crore was either on a war footing or in the pipeline.
He said Haryana had a good road, rail and air connectivity. “There are 15 national highways and 29 state highways in the state. Efforts are being made to develop five big cities on over 2.5 lakh hectares of land on both sides of the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway under the Panchgram project. To facilitate people, ‘saral kendras’ have been established in each district, subdivision and tehsil. ‘Antyodaya saral kendras’ are also being established, where information of all government schemes will be provided to the people,” said the CM. He said help desks had been set up at each ‘saral kendra’. Online services had been started for the redressal of grievances of entrepreneurs, he said.
Khattar said the process of setting up an airport in Hisar was in full swing. “Haryana is at the third place in terms of ease of doing business. A skill development university has been established to generate more employment opportunities. Also, a plan is under consideration to establish a global city over 1,200 acres near Gurugram,” said Khattar.
Lays foundation stone of Haryana Bhawan
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar laid the foundation stone of Haryana Bhawan at the Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat Complex near the Statue of Unity at Kevadiya in Gujarat on Saturday after performing ‘bhumi pujan’. He said that Haryana was the first state to have laid the foundation stone for the construction of a bhawan at the complex. Public Works Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Gujarat minister Ganvat Vasava were also present.
