Saurabh Mangat lifts golf cup

Chandigarh:  Saurabh Singh Mangat defeated Sahil Seghal of Uttar Pradesh in the final round to win the Chief Commissioner Golf Cup, which concluded at the Chandigarh Golf Club here on Friday. The tournament was played on 0 to 9 handicap format. TNS

Golf meet on January 15 

Chandigarh: The 4th Maharaj Krishan Juniors Golf Tournament will be played at the Panchkula Golf Club on January 15. The championship, which will be held in the 6-18 years age-group, will be organised by the Asian Education Society. Over 100 participants have registered for the event, the organisers said here on Friday. Chandigarh Golf Association will sponsor practice balls for winners and runners-up for one year, they said, adding that a seminar will also be organised for the golfers seeking admission to foreign universities on the day of the competition.TNS

Dodgeball c’ship from January 21

Chandigarh: Dodgeball Association of Chandigarh will organise the State Tricity Dodgeball Championship at CRB Public School, Sector 7, from January 21-23. The tournament will be held in the U-19 and U-14 age groups, the organisers said here on Friday. Players born on or after January 1, 2000, will be eligible to compete in the U-19 category, while those born on or after January 1, 2005, can contest in the U-14 age-group. Interested teams need to submit their entries before January 19. TNS
