Veteran pop star Sharon Prabhakar, who had touched new heights in the 1980s, left the audience in the city spellbound with her maiden show — That’s life — on Sunday.

The veteran diva was performing at an event organised by the FICCI FLO, Amritsar chapter. That’s life is a musical biopic on the life and times of Sharon Prabhakar. The musical show showcases her journey from nobody to a singing sensation. It also describes her various tribulations and triumphs. She said she hadn’t disappeared. “I established my own production company under which I do multiple shows, besides other events,” she said.

FLO Amritsar chairperson Gowri Bansal said, “Ever since the inception in April 2018, each event we do is careful planned and curated. There have been some of the best sessions, workshops, which could capture one’s imagination and reinforce our quality and commitment to the city and our members.”

Arushi Verma, senior vice chair of the FICCI FLO, expressed her happiness of having the singer here. “I am performing for the first time here and I am happy to be here. The show is my journey on my life,” said Sharon.

The veteran singer, who sang ‘Mere Jaisi Haseena’ for Armaan movie in 1981, gleefully appreciates the music content being produced nowadays. She said, “It is a great time. The songs are lovely too but I am not sure the kind of demand that a particular singer enjoys. I am sure of the kind of demand I enjoyed.” Nowadays, she has been doing musical shows under her own production banner.
