Faridabad, December 6

Negligence allegedly on the part of the Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) led to the death of two persons and injuries to three, near Sector 64 on the bypass road here last evening.

Mukesh (26) and Rahul (22), both employed at the local HSVP office, were killed after a car coming from the opposite direction rammed their motorcycle.

A car (Wagon R), coming from the Palwal side, hit a pit and then went on to ram another car (Swift) and the motorcycle on the other side of the road.

While three persons travelling in the Swift car were injured, Mukesh and Rahul, who were riding the bike, died on the spot.

It was learnt that the main cause of the accident was the pit left uncovered by a contractor of the HSVP. The road was dug up for laying a sewer line.

While Mukesh, hailing from Mandkol village, was employed as a clerk, Rahul of Prahladpur Majra Deeg village had joined as “beldar” in the HSVP office at Sector 12 here a few months ago. Investigation has been launched after registering a case, said the police official.
