A central jail Home Guard jawan was injured seriously when a shot was fired accidentally from his gun. The jail authorities took the injured jawan to the civil hospital, where the doctors gave him first aid and further referred him to the Faridkot medical college. The injured has been identified as Gagandeep Singh, a resident of Model Town, Bathinda.

As per information, Gagandeep was deployed near barrack number 7 inside the central jail. A bullet got fired accidentally from his gun and hit his hand. He was immediately taken to the civil hospital and the Cantt police station was informed.

Cant police station SHO Narinder Kumar, along with his team, reached the spot and recorded the statement of the injured.
