Haryana Lions beat Delhi tigers by 59-43 to register first victory in the Global Kabaddi League here at Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium on Wednesday evening. In the second match, Maple Leaf Canada defeated Black Panthers by 55-43.

From the very first quarter, Haryana’s raiders and stoppers did not give a chance to Delhi players to come back. At the end of first quarter, Haryana was leading by 16-10. During half time, the score was 29-22 in favour of Haryana. In third and fourth quarter, Haryana stoppers dominated the proceedings. In the second match, a tough battle was witnessed between Black Panthers and Maple Leaf Canada. In the first quarter Black Panthers was leading by 13-12. While in the second, Canadian Boys bounced back.

During half time maple Leaf Canada was leading by 29-21. In third and Fourth quarter, Canada’s stopper Ekam Hathur showed splendid game and at the end of third quarter, the score was 44-30.—TNS
