Patiala, January 17

The administration, along with the Health Department, released swine flu awareness posters today. Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit said due to a fall in the temperature, swine flu cases were on the rise in the district.

He said awareness was a key to prevent the spread swine flu. “As a preventive measure, awareness about the disease has been created by Health Department through seminars, rallies, posters, pamphlet distribution and radio talk.”

Civil Surgeon Dr Manjit Singh said, “The department is on toes since November last year. All possible preventive measures have already been taken.” — TNS
