Faridkot, February 14
Gurloveleen Singh Sidhu, a 2005-batch IAS officer, took charge as Deputy Commissioner of Faridkot on Thursday.
Officials and employees of various departments welcomed him in his office at the District Administrative Complex here. After assuming the charge as Deputy Commissioner, Sidhu said timely and speedy redressal of public grievances and timely execution of development projects would be his top priority.
Sidhu has replaced Rajeev Prashar, who has been posted as Special Secretary, Revenue and Rehabilitation. Earlier, Sidhu was posted as the Director Public Instructions (Colleges) before being transferred here. In the past, he has served as DC in Gurdaspur, Kapurthala and MC Commissioner in Amritsar.
