Sector 16 academy beat CCA

Surya Narayan Yadav scored a patient half-century before Samardeep Singh claimed a four-for to guide Cricket Academy, Sector 16, to a 20-run win over Chandigarh Cricket Association (CCA) in a GS Banga Memorial U-19 Cricket Tournament match here on Wednesday. 

Electing to bat, the Sector 16 academy were all out for 231 runs in 49.3 overs. Yadav hit a 106-ball 74, while Anugrah added 41 runs to the total. Vaibhav Kalta chipped in with a vital 33. 

Amit Shukla was the wrecker-in-chief for CCA, claiming 6/39. Rajangad Bawa (1/43), Harshit Singh (1/35) and Mandeep (1/43) took a wicket each.

Needing 4.64 runs per over for victory, CCA were bowled out for 211 runs in 47.1 overs. Ishan Goel made 56 off 47 balls, while Rajangad Bawa contributed 55 runs to the chase. 

Samardeep bagged 4/35 for the Sector 16 academy, while Janam Ober returned with figures of  3/36.
