NURPUR, JANUARY 17

A grenade was found under a bridge at Sihal village near the Pong reservoir which was defused by Army experts today.

The Fatehpur police got information yesterday regarding the grenade and rushed to the spot. The local administration further intimated the Army authorities at Mamoon. A bomb disposal squad of the police rushed to the spot this morning to examine the grenade. Finally, an Army team, led by Major Rakesh Krishan, arrived on the spot and found the grenade live. An Army expert neutralised it. According to Major Rakesh Krishan, the defused grenade was of the Army and was around 10-year old.
