New Delhi, December 28
To improve quality of medical practitioners, the government has decided to set up two regulators — National Commission for Indian Systems of Medicine and National Commission for Homoeopathy — as the Cabinet yesterday cleared draft legislations to this effect.
Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said the government has approved the draft National Commission for Indian Systems of Medicine Bill, 2018, which seeks to replace the Central Council for Indian Medicine with a new body to ensure transparency. It has also cleared the draft National Commission for Homoeopathy Bill, 2018, which seeks to replace the Central Council for Homoeopathy with a new body. — TNS
