Govt offers help to veteran Punjabi actor Satish Kaul

Ludhiana, January 8

Deputy Commissioner Pradeep Aggarwal today met veteran Punjabi actor Satish Kaul at his residence today. He assured Kaul of every possible help from the state government.

The move came on the directions of CM Capt Amarinder Singh after reports about Kaul living in a sad state of affairs appeared in various newspapers. Kaul told Aggarwal that for the past many years, he had been living a life away from the limelight and needed help for survival.

“I was getting oension from Punjabi University. It should be restarted, medicines should be provided free of cost and I also need a house to live and an attendant to take care of me,” said Kaul. Aggarwal said the government would try to provide him every thing he needed. Kaul further expressed his desire for working for theatre once again to which Aggarwal assured him of every help. — TNS
