Three miscreants decamped with gold and cash from a shot on the Gaushala road in Mansa on Saturday.

The suspects made the woman shop owner hostage at gunpoint before fleeing away. The police immediately reached the spot and started a probe into the incident.

According to information, Jaswinder Kaur was at her shop — Sethi Heritage Garments — as her husband had gone out of station for some work. Jaswinder said on Saturday afternoon, three miscreants came to her shop and enquired about something. She said thereafter, they left from the shop.

She said thereafter, a married woman came to her shop and asked an item. In the meantime, three miscreants, who came earlier, entered the shop again and pointed a pistol at her and tied her hands and legs, she added.

According to the complainant, the suspects also put a tape on her mouth and made her hostage. The suspects decamped with 14-tola gold, cash and other items.
