Girls get protection tips

KHANNA: The Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology organised a seminar on its campus on the protection of girls against crime.

The Ludhiana College of Engineering and Technology organised a seminar on its campus on the protection of girls against crime. Students from the campus and Government Senior Secondary School, Katani Kalan, were present on the occasion. Kuldeep Sharma, PPS, ADCP industrial security, in-charge of women and child cell, was the key-note speaker. He gave some prevention and protection tips to women.

He informed about the increasing number of crimes in India and explained the economic, political and social factors responsible for such crimes. He suggested remedial steps for the prevention and protection of women.

Principal LCET Jatinder Gill said every woman has the right to live respectfully. He said girls should not remain silent and hesitate in adopting methods of self-defence. LCET chairman VK Gupta stressed upon the need of using the instinct and senses and suggested self-defence training for women.
