Girl falls from moving train in Kathua, dies

KATHUA: An 18-year-old girl was killed when she fell from a moving train at the Buddhi railway station in Kathua on Friday morning.

An 18-year-old girl was killed when she fell from a moving train at the Buddhi railway station in Kathua on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Dipika, a Class XII student of Higher Secondary School, Buddhi.

According to sources, Dipika had gone to her aunt’s home in Govindsar village for her summer break.

“On Thursday, her mother asked her to return. On Friday, she boarded the train from Govindsar. When she reached Buddhi station, she fell from the moving train. Locals and the police immediately shifted her to the Associated Medical College, Kathua, where doctors declared her brought dead,” sources said.

The Railway Police have registered a case in this regard.
