General Samaj Manch to hold protest

Phagwara, May 9

To protest against the unsympathetic behavior towards the general category adopted by the state government, the General Samaj Manch (GSM), Punjab, have decided to organise a march on May 11 from Fuglana village (Hoshiarpur) to Phagwara by Bharatiya Kisan union and its supporters.

The decision was taken at a state-level meeting of the GSM, which was presided over by Fateh Singh Parhar here today. — OC

Divulging the details, state general secretary,GSM, Girish Sharma said their demands include—Reservation based on economical status, the reservation for the Assembly and Lok Sabha constitution by Rotation (as per constitutional Advice) and to set up a commission for the general category.
