Punjabis love music, to sing and dance, no wonder competition in the music industry is fierce. When this Jalandhar boy decided to jump in this highly competitive field, he came prepared.  Trying to make a niche, Ravneet Singh isn’t taking it easy. Backed by classical training in music, a song a day he pens and in less than two years, its 11 singles!

Laung Gawacha is his latest to have touched 10 million hits, this civil engineer only too happy to share his journey. “I have been fond of music right from the beginning. I trained in classical music under three gurus and it carries on,” His latest is the reply to original popular number Laung Gawacha, only this time he has found it, a golden one instead of the lost silver one. “It’s a fun, peppy number,” admits he, pretty pleased writing songs about wooing girls. Romantic, fun ones or sad love songs or even against drug abuse, few and far in between, Ravneet is now prepping up for an album.

Backed by a team, a studio of his own in Jalandhar, Ravneet finds that to be a place good enough for now thanks to social media and its expansive reach. “If writing and singing and planning is one, I am equally glad interacting on Snapchat, Instagram and TikTok, it’s kind of heartening to see fans make and upload videos on your songs,” he smiles.

Following music of Babbu Mann, Gurdas Maan, Guru Randhawa, Ustad Amir Khan and Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Ravneet wants to establish himself as a singer first, before he takes the tried and tested formula to Pollywood!
